Meermaals per jaar kun je ons wel ergens aantreffen op een rommelmarkt of een 'flea market' in binnen-en buitenland. Nu en dan laten we ons verleiden tot de aankoop van iets origineels en soms kun je ongelooflijke koopjes doen bijv. we kochten in New York tweedehandse 'Texan Boots' voor slechts 25 $ (prijs nieuw 600 $).
Eén of twee keer per jaar staan wij zelf met een standje op een rommelmarkt, zo ook gisteren op de Tassche bij 'It is I Le Puit'. Ik geniet van de sfeer en de verhalen die verteld worden aan je kraampje. Enkele voorbeelden :
- twee jongeren waren bezig met muziek en waren op zoek naar nieuwe geluiden of rare mixen. Zo kochten ze bij mij een LP van 'Uriah Heep' en een 'New Beat-verzamelaar' en ze bespraken reeds hoe ze dit zouden kunnen mixen of hoe ze samples zouden kunnen gebruiken. Ze waren zo begeesterd en sympathiek dat ik ze nog een LP cadeau gaf.
- Mijn professioneel fotostatief is al een paar keer mee verhuisd en zeker 10 jaar niet meer gebruikt. Een jong koppeltje was geïnteresseerd en ook zij hadden een mooi verhaal dus ik liet hen het statief voor 5 €... zij zeer blij en de Kip ook blij dat dit statief de deur uit is.
- Een oud ventje paste mijn oude schoenen. Hij was blij dat ze pasten en hij kreeg ze voor 1 €. Ik had een beetje met die eenzame, oude man te doen en schonk hem nog een paar schoenen gratis. Ook deze man was tevreden.
Hoe ouder ik word, hoe minder ik gehecht ben aan zaken verzamelen. Mijn LP en CD-collectie was vroeger heilig maar nu kan ik er zonder problemen afstand van doen. Het pleziert me als ik muziekliefhebbers 8 LP's kan verkopen voor 20 €. Zij zijn tevreden met hun mooie vondst en dan ben ik ook tevreden.
Verder wil ik 'it is I Le Puit' en zijn Russische eega 'Inga' bedanken voor de warme ontvangst en het heerlijke spek met eieren.
Op zaterdag 4 en/of zondag 5 september vind je ons op de grootste rommelmarkt van Europa, nl. de braderie in Lille (F). We zullen er kilometers wandelen tussen standjes, nu en dan een aperitiefje en zeker 'mosselen met frieten' eten.
Momenteel hebben volgende personen reeds bevestigd dat ze zullen meegaan naar Lille : CD uit M., It is I Le Puit, Inga, Kip en Murke.
